Dana Zaruba, owner of the Hot Chick Spice Company, is just a little cheeky having her own photo on the label, but once you try her Duqqa and Gomashio, you’ll see why that sly little smile is there. Her products will make you swoon with delight!

Dana started making Duqqa in 2001 with a partner after having tasted Duqqa for the first time at a party. As there were no local companies making Duqqa, she and her partner were inspired to create their own blends. The product met with great success at the local farmers' markets in Vancouver and were soon picked up by several local retailers.
After a move to Vancouver Island's beautiful Cowichan Valley in 2003, Dana took sole ownership of the business. With the addition of her very popular GOMASHIO and now her AWARD WINNING POMEGRANATE MUSTARD, Dana's line of delcious and healthy products will continue to be a wonderfully healthy and unique addition to elegant dinner parties and your daily culinary creations.
